we waded through the marketplace—someone’s ship had come in
there was silver and begonias—dynamite and cattle
there were hearts as big as apples and apples in the shape of Mary’s heart
I said inside this gilded cage a songbird always looks so plain

and so they came with cameras—breaking through the morning mist
press and businessmen—tycoons—Episcopal philanthropists

and at last we saw some people huddled up against
the rain that was descending like railroad spikes and hammers
they were headed for the border—walking and then running
then they were gone into the fog
but Anne said underneath their jackets she saw wings

I gots a copy of his first Cd for ya now too; not quite as good as number 2, but still has some gems.

BTW, he's doing a U.S. tour in the next month or so and the closest he is coming to here is AZ; WTF??? Not even Boulder or ID (where he's from).

anything you could compare his style to? lyrically ive heard its great stuff, i havent found one of his cd's out here yet.

and found the other in "Folk" at Barnes and Noble; if you check "Folk" section of B&N or Borders or if you have a local Indie store (we don't here in SLC) you should be able to find both of his Cd's there.

Thanks Woods!! After Tower went down, I didn't think another existed in this somewhat deprived oasis.

I will keep those in mind; almost easier now-a-days to just get them on the net though - kinda sad in a way.
