Utah MagMins (also paging Red Baron)

Myself and my GF will be arriving in SLC on Sunday for a short week of skiing. She's fine to ski by herself, as long as she can find her way around, so we'll probably spend most of our time at Alta. I might make it up to Snowbasin too. I doubt we'll ski on
Sunday, but Monday through Thursday, it's on.

If anybody's got plans to ski elsewhere during the week, lemme know cause nothing's set in stone.

Hey Red, how we lookin for weather?
Remind me. We'll send him a red cap and a Speedo.

    Hey Bag-

I'm heading out to UT from Boston, this Saturday. I was actually just contemplating posting to announce my presence. I'll be "skiing" (aka getting worked by true big mountain skiing) Sunday through Saturday, mostly at Alta and the Bird. Give a shout if you want to hook up any of those days - if we can't find any maggot locals to show us around, we can always explore together.

I think CantDog will be there Wednesday too.

    Later.

    ps....

if you click on the "forecast discussion" you'll see mention of a stronger trof or system moving in Tuesday. I'm a weather JONG, but I think thats good news. knock on wood. quick.

The Bird's the word. I'll be up there next week fo' sho'. Brighton and Solitude don't suck either(cheaper lift tix + great terrain + less crowds), so if you want a tour of the BCC resorts, lemme know.

Yep, I'll be there, ready to step it up a notch(just purchased a fullface ). I get into SLC airport at 11am tuesday, then have to figure a way to get to Alta for the afternoon, or my hotel in sandy. I'll be skiing wednesday too, then leaving wednesday for bozeman. Back in SLC to ski the 26-29th.

How far is the airport from sandy, can I take a bus?

All is quiet on the Wasatch front, my friends... (Unless you count some high-quality wet-slide action...)

The next decent looking weather-maker gets here on Tuesday night, a full seven days from right now - and I don't have much confidence in 7 day forecasts. I'll keep an eye on things and let you know if something changes.

Boarderline, JayFrizzo and I are usually at the Bird on Thursdays or Fridays, (or both), so lets all hook up when you're in town...

Looks like there'll be a little crew - nice. What should we expect for conditions with all the warm weather? Does LCC serve up some good corn?

    Sweet, should be a blast.

I'll just try to plan for a Boid day on thursday and a day at Solitude.

Buzz, I tried mang, but plane ticket prices were MUCH cheaper for the dates we ended up getting.

CantDog, I'd offer you a ride on tuesday, but I'll be on the mtn by then. Lemme know if you need help on wednesday though.

I don't have a cel phone, but I should be able to check back here periodically. The Alta crew is pretty easy to locate, so I'll just try to pick you guys out in the line. I'll be ridin' Pistolas, blue pants, tan/green Patagucci and a blue salomon helmet.
Remind me. We'll send him a red cap and a Speedo.

No, he just makes young women cry... (sorry, inside joke)

Seriously, your trips will be fine, in spring we get periods of warm weather, mixed in with nice, big winter storms - I think you'll end up with half and half...

We're staying at the Extended Stay on Union Park. We've got a rental, but we can't get it until after noon, so I doubt we'll drive all the way up to PC...thanks for the heads up though.

I'm completely flexible, so I'd be up for Soli any day.

Thanks IG, but Stump offered me a ride to the station since we are both gonna be at Alta.

I'm staying at the Super8 in sandy, and for 62 bucks a night it includes a room, breakfast, bus tix, and voucher for day at alta/snowbird/brighton/solitude.

When I get back in town the 25th, I will have 4 days to ski and was thinking of doing 2 days at alta/bird and 2 at solitude...anyone want to play guide at 'tude?

I know it's not LCC or BCC; but, if anyone would like to ski The Canyons Saturday or Sunday, I have a few half price vouchers I'd be happy to share.
