How about more photos? These answers aren't as good without them.
Blackcomb" Burning willow weeps in the night"
Showcase tbar and drop up and over by the explosive cart and closed sign. duck the rope and slide down the icey cliff and drop 10-15' into 30 degree powder field for days. Stay far skiers left far avy danger
Hello darkness my old friend
How can you ride up the Sublette chair all day without scoping and poaching a line down Alta Zero? The best snow on the hill, nice airs, and right under the lift. Just have a good escape plan.....
have yet to do it myself, but it's always rare and exciting to see someone launch the tower 5 cliff under the single at MRG.
don't think it ever opened last year or this. saw a telekid get nabbed by patrol in feb, but saw some nice tracks and more recently a very strong+fast skier discretely move on after going big.

Big Sky, Little Coulior. Easy access, not so easy getting to get away car.
Damn dude you are dumb.
The Little has been open off & on for the last 3 seasons. If the conditions are right, you can ski it. And the access is NOT easy!
The conditions are rarely right and only so because the Big Sky patrol goes up and sidesteps the entries to consolidate the snow.
You want an epic poach at Big Sky, its the line under the tram that feeds into the Big Cooler. Been skied(snowboarded really) by J. Schutz for a ski flick, and poached by Cory K. in a nervy line while the tram was open and running.![]()
skiing that tram line would be some spooooky shit. Doable, but DO NOT FALL.
Bunion or anyone else. Can you describe or map out how it connects from the Tram down to the Big Couloir? Have looked at that several times in lower snow conditions and was trying to figure out where it goes in higher snow.
Oh yeah. I've told however that if you stomp your line patrol won't rip your head off.
Unskiabowl at jackson is pretty friggin sweet too. Got to ski a part of it at the jackson finals, and it's steeeep. Down that gut with the mandatory out looks stupid fun...maybe next year...
Drive slow, homie.
I don't know what the name is, but on Blackcomb, from the top of Chimney Ridge, duck the rope straight to the right, and after doing some billygoating there is a $$$ chute that gets you to a pillow field and the beginning of the glacier cattrack.
I Have skied the little before you fuckstick. Access is not hard. Unless you are a beater like yourself. To get patrol to let you in takes a lot of coaxing so the little is really not OFF and On like you brag. Both lines are sick never have skied the tram line but have considered it on big snow years. Just pussed out though. You can take your dumb quote and the fuck you guy and shove them up your ass if you don't like my two cents on this subject. Damn your a douschnozzle. So here's to you and your GF sucking my Dick!!![]()
I got to ski that line with a buddy about four years ago. When my buddy aired out the bottom he exploded, lost a ski, and did some impressive rolling. It took him a few minutes to get his gear together, and aside from a bit of chairlift heckling, nobody bothered him. We cruised on down and caught another tram without incident.
I have only done Alta .5, and that was scary enough (one mandatory, not too severe).
Brian Jillson's kid SENT Alta 0 last year, without incident, but Brian is a friendly troller'.
Fuckin' sweet line.
Anyone know who hucked the far looker's right line, OVER the tree, on 0?
My wife saw someone nail it, a bunch of years ago...
Isn't there a great cliff line like that at Vail, right under the lift?
I forget which one...
i wish we had closed zones in europe
naaah not really![]()
(and i do not consider skiing in a nature reserve part of the mountain "poaching" because it is closed for a reason and not because of "danger".)
It's a war of the mind and we're armed to the teeth.
ok let me clarify: zones which are mountain features with more than 150-200m vert.![]()
It's a war of the mind and we're armed to the teeth.
I can only be somewhat detailed for fear of law enforcement pursuit......I "have a friend" that shreds outside of the tracks on surface lifts......This "friend" I hear tell has gotten sick air off the take off of Poma lifts too....There I said it....back into hiding....As for your criteria? I clearly have met them.....

When Schutz did it, it was under the skiers L side of the tram dock under the cables going right, down and working to the left, over a small rock band and into the alley that connect to the left.
I think in 200/2/03 after hours, Cory and another local hid out and put tracks down the same line and one further to the R.
And then a year ago or so, Cory just strapped in to his board between cabins and on a fairly clear day ripped the line and went on down to the parking lot and left for the day.
