HDV Vid: "Flowers In March" 3-29-07

A short 2:30 minute vid of a fun pow day in March. After 3 weeks of 65+ degree temps in the valley, and melting snow, it was nice to get one last powder day in March.

    Quicktime7 32mb-best viewed at 1/3 screen size

Windows High Definition 113mb Best to right click and 'save as'. Will need speedy computer to view smoothly

Me, JoshP, and Trady are going on a nice tour with multiple peak bagging tomorrow. Welcome to join us.

Josh and I are fat, slow, and very out of shape, so Trady will be carrying all the gear and breaking trail all day.

That felt good, real good. Thanks for the ride.

And thanks for the motivational phone call - it got me out last night and then again this morning. I'm back in the winter business.

Yes, but QT7 at full resolution is a processor whore, and plays pretty crappy on many computers. For some reason, it just takes more horsepower to play h.264 QT7 than it does WMV.

    Vegas 7d.

I am shooting with the new Pany SD1 HDV cam. It records in AVCHD format to Sandisk flash cards. 40 min footage per 4gb card. Only clincher is virtually no editing software recognizes AVCHD yet. Vegas should support it this spring. So right now, it's a pain in the ass in the workflow.

Maybe I'll throw in some roast beef sandwiches, a sixer, and some cheesecake, just in case you guys can't keep up.

Psyched to watch the vid tonight. Quicktime is a no-no at work.

I am really impressed with the quality of the image from a relatively cheap camera.

I was really expecting that footage to be coming from a $4000 camera.

Nicely done! That was the best BC video I've seen here yet. I particularly liked the skinning sequence. Two gloves up!
