I was at Steamboat from the 17th to the 22nd of February. I brought film cameras, so finally got everything developed, scanned and uploaded. It was a good trip, but the snow could have been better. There was a major dump about a week before we got there, but then things dried out and warmed up drastically by the time we got there. We did get a few inches of fresh, so nice conditions on Friday, 2/20, but otherwise things varied from very hardpacked and somewhat icy, to sloppy in the afternoon. Still, we had a great time.
Here are a couple shots for you. I don't think the Powder magazine photo editor is going to be banging down my door, but there are a few keepers!
Shot of the mountain from downtown Steamboat. Steamboat Springs is a nice little town:

Here's what I like to see: lots of snow coming down at the top of Storm Peak:

Skiing a few inches of fresh on Friday morning:

More Friday morning porn. Almost a "where's waldo" photo. Good thing he's wearing that neon jacket!

OK, I really like this shot and I took it with my fixed focal length Olympus point-and-shoot. This is on Shadows, for those of you who know Steamboat:
