Another Traveling to Canada with a DUI Thread....

Heading north to Montreal tonight and a buddy who wants to come has a DUI....I know all the talk that has gone on here about that subject but specifically wanted to know what things are like now at the Route 87 crossing from New York into Quebec is like. Last time I was there they just looked at my ID, asked the standard where ya going & how long questions and I was thorugh.

Now with the passport requriements, do they run everyone's info thorugh the big brother database or is it still "random" in who gets the 3rd degree?

Anyone been turned back at the 87 crossing before for similar circumstances?

No passport requirement for driving or ferry travel until January of next year

If you bring your passport they will give you less of a hard time.

I have heard that they respect the passport much more, we will all have them and the guy with the record will not be driving.

Anyone have any specific recent beta on the 87/15 crossing and what to expect?

Don't know on that specific crossing.

But crossing in Fort Erie/ Buffalo is still cake as always.

Just the standard, where ya from, how long you here for? type questions.
