    Staying in Sandy...beta needed

I was planning on staying in Sandy at the either the Super8 or the ExtendedStay because its really cheap, and both offer bus service to the mountain. How long is the bus trip to Alta? I've got no problem with getting a 6am bus in order to be at the Wildcat chair by 830 if that what it comes down to. Or if the bus is a pain, will hitchhiking work? I've never been out there, so have no idea how things work, or how close together stuff is. Only 10 days though...

Edit: Id rent a car, but its too much money, and you gotta be at least 24, which I'm not.

16th, then heading to Bozeman on the evening of the 17th via greyhound. Then I'll be back in SLC ~5am on the 26th, and stay there until my flight evening of the 30th.

    Dog,

Don't know if it helps -- but last year I did a March trip to bird stayed on mountain using a $99 per person per night double occ deal they have with AMEX. This included a full Snowbird lift ticket with tram. When I asked they said I could add Alta for a small $ but bird was plenty for the two days I had. When I looked into all the $$ factors it was cheaper to stay on mountain doing this rather than staying in Sandy or SLC.

They are advertisng this deal again. Only hitches gotta be on AMEX and no Friday or Sat Stay. It's on the Snowbird site again this year (I just checked).

    Enjoy your trip!
Damn, we're in a tight spot!

Damn, dont have an american express card. If I can take the bus thats no prob, 35-40 bucks a night and 42 bucks for an alta lift ticket is hard to pass up. The Super8 has the deal 85 bucks for room and ticket, and skipass for the bus. Just curious on what the bus situation was, or the hitchhiking situation.

Yeah, I'm kinda doing a ghetto job of designing this trip and just taking things as they come, but I dont have much cash to work with. The reason I'm jetting up to Bozeman is I've got a free place to stay, food, and bridger tixs are 33 bucks...

This trip is just me, I'm flying solo.

The bus is a good way to go. Plan on about an hour busride, tops.
