I just pulled a pair of blue px12's off some old intuitiv 74's for potential use on my goats... are these any good? They seem heavy, but other than that are they useful, or should I chuck 'em and buy the 914's!?!

PX12s? On old Intuitivs? Must be a recent mount.
IIRC, the first year of the PX series was 2005/06. They're the post-turntable Look heel. Look claims they're better. Some here disagree. Try google searching the site, because PX is too short for the board's internal search engine.

ad - you are double correct!
1. search turned up only wtb threads...
2. these are p12's - not px12's as you mentioned... I could have sworn there was an X on there, but turns out just "pivot 12"...
so the question remains... p12 beta?!?
Aaah, well, there you go.
Classic Look turntable heels. Well loved in these parts. Assuming you set your DIN below 11ish, a fine pair of clamps, and lighter than the p14 (aka Rossi Power 14) I have on my Bros.

ok well - I think I'll give 'em a try... off to Any Mountain tomorrow for some holes. Maybe they'll mis-mount 'em and I'll get a new pair for AT use!!!
Forgot to mention that one nice thing about all Look/Rossi heel dildo bindings is that when you're stuck with a ski off in soft snow, and pushing down won't engage the binding because you can't get enough resistance, you can pull up on the heel dildo for an emergency lock-in until you're somewhere you can make it work.
And in my experience, the Look toepiece is much less prone to toe sloppage than, e.g., the Salomon. (Yeah, yeah, I know, Loctite the Salomons, but I'm wary of stopping things from being able to adjust.)

Horrible horrible binding. You shouldn't tempt fate and ought to give them to me. I'll dispose of them properly.
Great bindings, but tough to find the wide brakes for them with the PX's on the market now and the brakes connect different between old pivots and new PX. If they were on Intuitiv 74's, I bet they have normal width brakes, which means you get to search for wider of do the bendy thing (which is a bit more work on Looks). Just something I thought was noteworthy...
$44.95 at Al`s, a.k.a. Untracked.com. Of course, $45 and up gets you free shipping. Not sure if they'll comp you the extra nickel.

already bent myself since the tools at "Any Mountain" wont mount them unless the brakes fit... The bending was a bit harder than sollies, and doesn't look as clean, but they should work. Thanks for the info guys!
