    kirkwood beta needed

I have never skied kirkwood and I am planning on visiting there on the 31st to shoot video at the comp that should also be a bluebird powder day....my questions would comprise the following:

where on the ski area will the saturday events be held if there is a weather hold friday, then powder day saturday?

is there any free wireless in the village or near where I park?

is there anyone that will be there with DVmini that wants to shoot stuff in tandem for a better edit?

    thanx!

pretty much the only place they could hold the comp is in the cirque, which is where it's held every year.

i dunno about a powder day, tho... do you know something the nws isn't reporting?

check your calendar. I would love a powder day for the comp but unlikely.
No legit wifi around the base but try anyway

Yes, still planned for the cirque for finals.

The comp qualifying has always been held on Lookout Vista (off of chair 2) and then the next couple rounds are held on the Cirque, usually one day on either side of it. I would assume they'd stick to the same plan...aren't really any better venues for terrain and viewing.

There is free wi-fi in the main lodge (at the entry of the Lodge at Kirkwood), just sit in the entry (and if it's protected, they'll give you the key)

We'd better pray there's some significant snowfall before the comp...it was 60 at the base today, and we've lost most of the snow from the 3 weeks of storms we had in february.

Also, Thunder Saddle (under the Cirque) was ROCK hard with a nice icy sheen to it.

The qualifiers are on Vista. Day 1 is on the looker's right side of the Cirque, next to Eagle Bowl. Day 2/Finals are down the main part of the Cirque.

BTW, the Cirque is friggen GNAR right now. Some of the most common lines of the past 2 years are out of this world extremo right now.

Looking up at the Cirque today from out of Thunder Saddle, I just couldn't visualize continuous lines.
That, and I felt like I was flailing in the Saddle with the morning glaze firmly in place. Softened up later.
