    Pyranha 420

Anyone have or paddled on yet? Getting a new playboat this year and have heard good reviews on them and WS projects. Thinking about renting one and heading to a pool to work on flatwater stuff. That's if Confluence has boats to rent and if they have Pyranhas.

I had a 420 that I got new for this summer. I was very happy with it when i was just starting out doing loops front surfing that kinda thing. After that when I went up to the Ottawa, and i was surfing some big waves. The 420 did not perform up to par. It was fine for carving around but for any move more than a flat spin it had some problems. I just got an agent 6.4 yesterday and tried it on some big water today.....it ROCKED. I have also paddled the project and even in the mid size that is way too small for me it is able to perform better than the 420.
What this leads me to believe is that the 420 is a good boat for simple play moves but if you wish to improve i would suggest going for one of the new Jackson boats (new fun fast and a good river runner and new star sweet play boat), the Project, or the Agent.
The 420's outfitting is also pretty bad once you paddle it for about 20 days it simply falls apart.

Thanks for the info. I have been paddling a Dagger G-Force 6.1 for years and want to switch it up. It seems like everyone at Golden (WW park) paddles a Project, for good reason I guess.

+1 on the Dagger Agent 6.4. I paddled one all day today at the artificial park here and loved it.

i paddle a 420, size large, agreed it carves like crazy and can be super edgy when you first start paddling it. I have to say with a jackson happy seat this boat gets air like michael jordan. the new outfitting rocks the nation. plus if you have warranty issues the P rooooles.

try it out and also try the jackson super star.
