    Attention: raft guides, fitness question

Anybody workout to get ready for the season? Got any suggestions for what to do.

Early season always hurts so much and I was thinking about trying to forgo some of the anual shit kicking by getting in "rafting shape" early.

I've been doing half an hour on the rowing machine, dead lifts, chin-ups, hand stand pushups, seated rows and a mean core workout on the excercise ball.

Why do you think raft guides have such great parties? (In the southeast atleast). It is so the hang over is all they can concentrate on.

I would probably start with 10 hits a day from a two foot bong. Work your way up from there.

Oh, and practice lying...both about river stories and how many MILFs you shagged on overnighters last year.

I know its a stupid question really and I've never worried about it before. I've guided for 8 years all over the world and I know how to take it easy, and hit the bong but I broke my back last summer and I'm worried that I am going to get gimped once I start tossing boats and paddeling long days.

That's the first thing I thought too. And where's the punchline? You work out for skiing by skiing hard for the first week. Go run the river just for fun a few times a day for a few days, and you'll be fine.
