    good that they had the gear and knew how to use it. Not quite willing to give them too many kudos without knowing why he was on a slope that slid in the first place. Did they dig a pit? WHat were conditions like?

    Watch the second video clip where he goes into more depth about the accident. He fully admits to ignoring a bunch of warning signs of instability and wind loading. They did not dig a pit and sounds like they did no analysis of the snow pack.
