    computer keyboard techtalk beatch

Ok all of the sudden my keyboard won't let me use a single quotation instead it comes out as an e with the little french accent over top. This only happens in my email program (thunderbird) it seems. This strikes me as very odd. I don't know of anything I changed recently but it just happened. Anyone know how I can change it back before I start flying the fleur de lis.
    Thanks.

Never mind, nothing to see here. I shut down thunderbird and it fixed itself on starting up again. Taberfuckingnac! Shit too late ...mon dieu!

Probably had something to do with language settings. Check that in the future.

yea I did but didn't see anything amiss. Not sure if there was another place beyond where I looked. Thankfully the urge for a plate of poutine has also passed, now if I can just resist the diet pepsi.

Sometimes the Alt key is used to access these special characters (along with the keypad - but depending on the software) so make sure you do not have Windows sticky keys turned on (different than the diet Pepsi spilled on the keyboard- this is holding down the key automatically - used by handicapped or adaptive users that can't do multiple key strokes at the same time). Search Windows help on sticky keys for more info.

Or if a reboot or relaunch of the program solved it it could have been a corruption in memory.
