My current City of Residence.
Oh wait, it's not a "city"...it's a backwater cowtown of 8,000. Whatevah...
The official signage and stationary says "City of ..." on it.
Why? Because I like it.
It's affordable, quiet, and close to the places/things I like to go and do.
A nice new home, large shop, and 2-1/2 acres with a great view. For about half of what Seattle friends pay for broom closets.
And still within short striking distance of two major PNW cities (Seattle and Vancouver), for when an urban fix is desired (not very often).
I grew up in the Seattle burbs. Spent plenty of nights raging around town. Fun place, but hella expensive, and traffic is (now) utterly ridiculous. Stiil have pals/family down there -- but when I'm visiting, I cannot wait to leave.

Omaha. That place kicks ass.
nyc. if i could afford to live the actual city, i wouldn't be yearning to move west..
City: >1,000,000 people
USA: NYC: Restaurants; concerts; theatre; art; people; vibe; culture
Europe: Amsterdam: vibe; history; people; cleanliness

Houston, Texas!
it's a great place if you can get over the heat, flooding, hurricanes, mosquitos, cockroaches, Katrina Refugees, and Texans.
Many times. Love it. Some people from there never tire about telling you how much cooler it is than your town, and they all live out here in CO. One question, why are you here then? Don't give me prices either, plenty of people seem to be making it out there and they aren't loaded.
Detroit has lot's of cheap housing!
And crack. Lot's of crack!![]()
Looking California, feeling Minnesota.
i could be living in one of these citys in the near future.
looks like brooklyn, with a 20% chance of san francisco.
i've lived in nyc for short periods, and have spent many days and nights tromping around the bay both in college and durning the summers since i've been in tahoe. i like them both for many different reasons. if i do move back east the hardest thing for me is going to be the damn humidity in the summer. cant say i'm not looking forward to either option, but this is probly because i'll be seeing my special lady friend more than once every two or three months.

Is Anchorage considered a city? By Montana standards it is, so I say Anchorage.
Van, BC
Calgary, AB
Denver, CO
SLC, NV
Seattle, WA
but much prefer the small town pace
ROLL TIDE ROLL
Calgary or Vancouver by far, both are close to some really great skiing, and im sure youd be able to find a professional job in your field of choice. Calgary would be my preference (probably because im calgarian hahaha)
NYC has the best looking women in the world... PERIOD!
I've always wondered this as well. I was under the impression that they had similar weather pattern. The days this January I spent in each city (only one day each, hah!) it was raining and cold in Van and sunny and warm in Seattle. Go figure!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"
Lived in both the Canuck cities mentioned, Calgary and Vancouver. Can't imagine living in the east away from the mountians. Calgary is better than Vancouver itself, but North and West Van are sick (Shore MTB anyone?).
Other cities I'd like to live in or at least try:
SLC, Denver, Seatle, Geneva, Sapporo Japan, Christchurch NZ, Anchorage
