Mac, Folder will not delete

I had trouble installing a photoshop upgrade and need to delete my entire version of photoshop so that I can reinstall it, and then install the upgrade that I jsut purchased. However when I delted the old version of Photoshop one of its folders is stilling in my Trash and no matter how many times I delete the trash it wont go away. Any ideas on how to get rid of it?

Have you tried clicking on the offending file in the finder window and hitting "command I" This takes you to the "get info" window. From there you can unlock the file. This usually fixes this problem on my mac.

open up terminal, type in sudo rm -rf ~/.Trash/, put in our password when it asks, logout of your account then log back in. Trash will now be emptied...

With some items, driver type files, you sometimes have to restart the computer and then you can empty the trash.
