    Sal 912 Demo Binding Help

I was unmounting a pair of 912's to mount on a different pair of skis and ran into a slight roadblock. I got them dismounted down to this point.

I can't get the plastic plate off to get to the plate underneath it. It slides back and forth but hits a stop at either end. Is there some secret to getting this off? Secret button or tab to push in and hold, secret chant, must I sacrafice a virgin, Why can't I get this thing off? I've mounted/unmounted other demo binders before but never not been able to figure how to get them apart.

    Any help appreciated.

I've seem to remember that you have to pry the back-plastic piece up (with the range numbers on it) to get it off. Then you can move the forward piece out.

Oh, and when I installed my S912 demos, I never unscrewed the toepiece off.

Mebbe Mntlion or some other Solly experts can chime in and verify/debunk my advice.

Shouldn't be any need to take the toe piece-proper off. I ended up with a couple of pairs of look demo bindings, with one pair the toe piece slid off easily, with the other it didn't, I just gave it a good shove though and it popped right off

He's right. Insert a flathead screwdriver under the black plastic tab and the number plate slides out. Then push the lever on the toe plate and slide the plate back. The metal demo plate underneath simply unscrews. There is no need to remove the binding toe from the sliding plate. It just adds to the number of screws to keep track of.
