i'm following on gameday....this is nuts.
162 games plus a bonus 9 innings wasn't enough to determine the nl wild card winner. i'm pulling for the rockies here.........it would be amazing, given how many games they HAD to win just to get here.

my mind was just fucked a little bit....
i got the football game on, and there was a sportscenter preview,
and out of the 3 or 4 stories they plugged, not a word of this game going on
    right now.

according to these guys, it's absolutely impossible to have a favorite team and still root for other teams or players in situations that have no effect on your team.
seems like a boring way to be a baseball fan to me.
FUCKING EVERYTHING affects your team you fuckin maroon. If the Rockies and the Mets exchange trainers, that affects my team in some way. How is it possible that you think that things aren't connected? It's ALL connected. Have you ever been a real fan of anything? I mean, lived and died with them?

You can't have two teams. You can't, it's wrong.

Never mind the half-dozen you root for.

This is a really good game. And I'm pretty sure Matt Holliday just clinched the MVP.

Ice, I'm with you. I'll watch any game, but I am always openly pulling for the best player on the other team to tear a hammy (unless he's an upcoming FA and there's a chance the Sox'll sign him up).

WOW.....just saw that replay....that's a huge umpire error.
rockies were destined to win in that inning anyways, i think.

Not even close. Great play by certified grade-A douchebag Michael Barrett. At least he took three of Holliday's fingers off with his spikes on the play.

Good for Helton. Very funny how today on ESPN radio Colin Cowherd was talking about how everytime Hoff is in a big game, he chokes....did it again....crazy! I personally believe that Helton may have been a steroid guy, but having said that, good for him for finally getting to the playoffs. That is one exciting team to watch. Go Rockies.

I'm with you on Helton being a steroid guy....sad to say there are too many I can lump in that category, not to mention all the ones who have flown under the radar.....oh and blow me stump.

Wrong. The catcher can not block the plate if he doesn't have the ball. Safe.

I boiled my thermometer, and sure enough, this spot, which purported to be two thousand feet higher than the locality of the hotel, turned out to be nine thousand feet LOWER. Thus the fact was clearly demonstrated that, ABOVE A CERTAIN POINT, THE HIGHER A POINT SEEMS TO BE, THE LOWER IT ACTUALLY IS. Our ascent itself was a great achievement, but this contribution to science was an inconceivably greater matter.
