Need feedback on a video (NSR - but video entertainment related)

I have compiled a little video to enter in a contest.

I basically tried to bring a nostalgic feel to a modern sport, and a bunch of adults playing on kid bikes. I welcome any suggestions for improvement? Post them in this thread. Thanks in advance.

    Video is here

It is an MPEG4 file so you will need a recent version of Quicktime.

I like the movie, pretty cool content, but that nostalgic effect doesn't really work. I'd say add music, but according to the official rules you aren't allowed to unless it is your own, which is a crappy rule, 'cause music makes most movies.

the footage is cool. I didn't read the rules, but here are some suggestions. If you can get some music or sound other than old film reel projector that would be good. Use it in the beginning and then fade into another sound. Try using something other than the overlay of grainy film quality to bring out that old-school nostalgic feeling, maybe between fades you can make the screen flicker and roll, like its not tracking right. Use a sephia like effect. That way it will give it some variety. What the hell do i know anyway??? just some thoughts

    Thumbs up

That last guy, the blond kid, is a freak, that's like a dance with a bike, cool stuff. Like the grainy look.

Matt Wilhelm is a pro rider and X-Games vet. He is a spinning freak.

very cool. those guys are amazing. i second (or third) the suggestion to use sephia tones. and you could probably find some old public domain ragtime music. on the net someplace. make it look like an old silent movie. the ragtime would give it a lighter playful feeling. think charlie chaplin.
