A little help with "The Roots"

So... A few weeks back I got "The Beginner's Guide to the Roots" vol 1 & vol 2 on vinyl. Part of the reason I got them was for the alternate versions and for the (supposedly extensive) liner notes written by ?uestlove.

Why am I posting?

The LPs do NOT include the liner notes!!!

Does anyone have the CD versions? If so -- are the liner notes worth a read? Can anyone help me get a copy?

I like the music and would just like to read the accompanying notes.

i think their forum was down when i first had the problem (around christmas) -- or maybe my memory is faulty. looks like it's back up.
