some years ago, on the way back from visiting my in laws in So. Canaan Pa., I borught a case of Yuengling, the big bottles, 22 oz. I think. For some reason, I had wrapped the case in paper, so you couldn't see it was beer. It goes through the xray machine, and I can see the screen, and it looks like a case of small artillery shells....the lady freaks and i had to open the box. lucky for me, the was several years before 9/11.

btw, you can buy yuengling in cal.

Drink it before you leave [/jackass]
I've concluded that DJSapp was never DJSapp, and Not DJSapp is also not DJSapp, so that means he's telling the truth now and he was lying before.

I'll do some research on the legal ramifications of bringing beer onto a plane over the next two days...God knows I won't be doing any school work. And I will supply any of the tristate area's finest brews on request, assuming they won't get me arrested or explode in my luggage.

kush, when's your demo day thing?

was at a friends house the other night, they had flown in from boston with a 12 pack. So yes you are allowed to bring it, just counts as a carry on.

    Call the airline and ask.
If they say you can't, then don't.
If they say you can then they'll also tell you the best way to do it and they may even remember you and let the stewardesses know what a stud you are and they'll all line up by the toilet to blow you mid flight.

Unless something else has changed (not out of the question, I guess) you're allowed to carry a case of beer as a carry on. I'd call the airline or something to check.

I carried a case of beer on a flight from New Zealand to LA. No problems at all. Of course, this was pre-9/11... so you know... beer might be considered contraband... or a weapon... or some shit like that.

Make sure you pack it in coffee grinds or powdered detergent. Double bag it and tape it to your inner thigh. You should be okay as long as you're not flying through Miami.

Oh... wait a minute... you weren't really talking about "beer," were you?

Being the "bootlegger" that I am, I constantly bring copious amounts of beer back to UT with me.
I usually pack it in my hard suitcase and check it. I do this by rolling up the bottles in my clothes, I have done this with beer and wine, to date I have not lost a bottle.
On smaller orders 12 or less I carry it on in my backpack, but I usually have a “handle" of booze in that, so I have no room for beer.

I recently transported a full-unopened case of Stone Pale Ale. This is how I did it:
I took the existing beer box and placed it in a slightly bigger box, I first lined the bigger box with old packing material, T-shirts, towels, crumpled up newspaper, and anything that would create a "shock" barrier between the case and the exterior box. You must work all sides, top and bottom with this protective filler.
After securing the box, I taped the shit out of it, and then added the final and most important part "Shrink wrap” you need Shrink Wrap or “Saran Wrap” or cellophane plastic wrap. Just wrap the shit out of it. Then you can check that, no problem.
I suppose you could just “carry on” a case of beer, I don’t recommend it, some cases wont fit in the overhead bins. I have walked on the plane with a case of Red Stripe, but I took a big chance; if the plane had been full, they could have forced me to check the case “unprotected” and chances of a case surviving are slim.

I fly Delta all around the country, and bring beer back to Utah with me with out hassle. Except for the fact that I am seriously breaking the law every time I bring alcohol into UT. But that’s a different rant for a different day.

    Good luck
