Today was busy as hell. The busiest I've ever seen up here. Crazy lines for up north. But it was also orgasmic. We got first tracks down No-name (best run of the year), then snagged another quick run there before heading to another area to catch those ropes dropping. We're finally getting enough snow to pop a few rocks and also to start hitting some lines. Hopefully these next few storms pan out and the real hucking can start towards the end of next week.
Maggots up skiing today were flyk, criscam, truth, MOE, MD9, and el kanone (we're on 5-13 on radios, if you're out tomorrow).
One line in Demoisy got tagged earlier in the week.So today wasn't technically the first day Demoisy has been hit this year. Today I got it again and then we opened up another straight line run for the first time this season, also in Demoisy. Tomorrow will be good again. So nice to have the season starting to build and get some consecutive storms.
Anywho here are some pics for the day. The shooter is truth.
First tracks of the season:
Go-rilla:
Racing the sluff. It's tiny multi-stager to get to this point and you can't slow down.
Pissed about the boss-hog landing being tracked out by 10-year olds getting 1 foot of air (been that way all season, there are plenty of cat tracks on the mountain, why this one) so I air off the track too in frustration.
Some of the lines we were facing up there today:
Criscam called single got through the line with ease.
Pop-rocks
