Or maybe it's what UT Dave is taliking about?!?!? The one on the left side is a gnarly funnel to air.

It's pretty much what UTDave sketched up. Except your takeoff is a few feet higher - by the little rocks above where he drew the take off at.

    Slippy,

The one you pointed out is what Harpo want's to hit next. Frickin sicko!!! Caw, caw. Oh, and the pic is from a month ago - during our high pressure. In a lower snow year, it looks way rockier - i.e. even more chit to fly over.

Damn, that pic in no way does the line justice. For starters, it is way more filled in than I have ever seen it, normally just exposed rock down that chute with a 3 ft. high pyramid-o-death sticking up at the bottom. Also, this is not a huge air, only 15-20 ft., but you have about 30ft of horizontal clearance and no lip. You have to come in hauling ass just to get your skis off the snow, and then you hover 2 ft. over the rocks all the way to your landing. It is not to be taken lightly.

edit: and Xover, you don't need photoshop dude, just Paint. Open paint, copy the image, paste it into paint, use its cute little draw tools to add some lines, resave it and upload.

Yeah, that part does tend to hold one's attention after you're in the air and on your way.

Coming up short and hitting that thing would give you a core shot that starts under the middle of your ski and stops at your middle intestine.

I'd have to agree with ..

Wide open landing, small cliff, what's the big deal?

Didn't mean to start a wave of hating on it.

I will admit that it's a whole new ballgame once your standing at the top of it. It definitely gets your attention.

Anyone visiting Alta should ask their maggot tourguide to get to that early.
