Finally, Squaw gets their shit together!! Chimeny Opened today 4/23/07!! Vis was in and out but Scralps and I waited up their for about 20 minutes until we had a suitable sucker hole! Then we both schralped it!! Definatly , the burliest I have ever done it. 6 foot cornice drop it, then the exit air was about 30ish feet, and the kicker was there was a 2 foot crown line directly in the landing zone. But we both stomped it, we were the 5th and 6th people down, respectivly. Guy # 4 crashed, but he was talking shit before and dropped in just as some clouds rolled in and landed on his ass, and yard saled double eject!! ONe of his skis shot 100' in the air! Anywho, good times!! See ya next year Chimney!
PS Huckasouras we saw you get into a cool Diving Board line today, good job, not a difficult line but off the charts on Hero Factor, lots of ohhs and ahhs!YEa

This one guy ate it good, but as I said he was all cocky and shit. I was actually nervous for some reason (maybe cause I beatered in the pocket the run before). The llanding was actually on the fracture line, so you kind of saw it coming but has to hit it, kind of weird, but the snow was soft and it is so steep there it made a hard landing smoothe. Who is Gopher?

Best day of the season for me. Winter finally came.
Yeh. SB has been really good this season. It used to be my least fave resort, and not just because I broke my jaw & wrist & split my lip and some teeth there last season
I have to find another now

AlpineDad, did you make it over to Strawberry Fields, off Disney/Crows Nest ?

Yeah, I'm sure that's it. Probably had nothing to do with the fact that only the Pro patrol can bomb, and given the ass-sucking year we've had, there aren't many left around.

Actually, I heard some 'trollers giggling about how they were specifically trying to fuck up some guy named ToiletPaperShredder's day. Maybe they were talking about you?

We didn't make it that far over, because Crow's Nest wasn't spinning. Burgerboy wanted to go there, but settled for Donald Duck because he loved the name.

-actually AlpineFag, I asked many ski patrol what the deal was and they didn't have a legit answer. they all showed up in the morning expecting to do AC control, but instead they sat around and didn't run any routes due to "alpine ski patrol laziness." There is definately a bombing squad still left at alpine because on Sunday morning, the valley sounded like Baghdad. Maybe not a full squad, but definately large enough to control beaver and estelle. Also, like I had mentioned, the snow pack stabalized and there wasn't even any need for bombing.

sooooooo, like I said, alpine ski patrol BLOWS! probably not as well as you do, but they definately do.

Good to hear some of you guys got the Sweep before things went manky. I was stoked to see Travis Ganong get in there first. Anyone happen to see the new line he threw down? In the rocks far skier's right of Mainline Pocket, he did a bit of an ugly double stager that gapped over the Siberia cattrack (pretty much where you start hiking to the Palisades. He barely cleared it, but stomped it clean. Burly young US Ski Teamer. Said he hasn't freeskied at all this year, so he had some things to get off his chest.
    or don't

Thanks for answering the question: "What would happen if you took away SuPu's great stoke and sense of humor?"

EDIT to add: On reflection, that's not fair to SuPu. I've never met the guy in person, but he seems like a good guy and good skier, and is unquestionably makes a strong contribution to the board, even discounting for the adolescent fag-bashing crap. By comparison, the only even arguably positive contribution you've made here is your shilling for Praxis. Life's too short, and the ignore function is made for, your particular brand of bullshit.

    Sadly, that makes sense.

POWDR, the outgoing owner, is still managing the hill. I wouldn't consider anything that happens for the rest of this season, such as it is, to indicate anything about future operations.

so........you've never met him, but you belive him to be a good skier and good person. that makes a lot of sence. as far as you know, you have never met me, but we may have chatted on Summit Chair and you not even know who I am. you probably thought I was a nice guy, crackin a joke or two or asking you how you like the skis you're on.

for the record jerky, I never bashed you or any of your kiss-ass comments in these forums. I wasn't the one to call out names; "toiletpapershredder." How can you even call out on people for their adolescent comments? Your age doesn't match you demeanor.

Am I supposed to feel threatened by the fact I am on AlpineFag's ignore list?
