    Smile

Granite opened at 12:15 which was amazing. Broken Arrow was open for hikers which was amazing. When the sun peeked through it was amazing.

Silverado should be good to go tomorrow.

Fuck Dallas, man -- I was home Monday night. But the wife and kids are up there slaying it. We swap responsibilities Friday night via Southwest, so she can spend all day Saturday in Santa Clara.

    Man I hate you!

I knew once I saw that I couldn't call in sick today I was going to see a post like this! At least with this cold temps I should still have fun tomorrow. Are you going to be there again?

Edit: SnowTigress, I just saw your post. What did you do?

    Chili,

Good morning today for sure... After you left Tim, myself and Erik took a little hike off of Lakeview and got some ridiculously deep snow.

just got back from KW. damn that was fun and a good crew up there with myself, lph, AKA, slim, skier666, rune, hop, and clack. Yes he still skis!

crew splintered up a bit...but I saw 666, hop, and clack hit some nice airs today. I think Hop gets the go big award, the freestyle, and the rally awards for the day for his launch off of Big Danger (40? 45? 50?) from the point, his front flip off of Dogleg, and rallying up to KW after a 12 hour layover at home after arriving from Guam respectively.

Clack gets the killing-it -like- it -ain't -no -thang -award since it was his first day of the season, and on I think his 4th run, sorta Blindly launched a 35 footer to stick. "Oh yeah this goes...well, I guess I'll just roll into it then" heh. Good seein ya again mang!

No worries, just get the work done so you can make it out to the hikes when they open them. Thank for taking the picture too...

Kind of reminded me of the time at the original 2002 Summit in Utah when he pulled the double back off of the fire escape from the Collins Lodge. (or whatever the heck the building is called). It should be called the Out-of-Nowhere award. (jesus christ that was 5 years ago! )

no pics, sorry. Sugar Bowl was all time today. Disney was the place, face shots every run. Waist deep dryness in some of the gulleys, unbeleivably dry for the Sierra in my opinion (note correct use of "sierra" for Alpinedad )

shit went down at squaw today. kt was full facial. headwall went aftert a couple laps. sooooo deep in c2. gunnar sent the gate from something like ten feet before the lip, looked like 70-80ish, and landed on his head. lucky guy got dug out within a few min and was fine. it was giant, and a little scary.

granite went around 12:30 or so and was double over head style. meat was hucked, and smiles were on the faces of everyone you saw.

skied around a bit with t-boz the last few days filming with the afw guys. that man is not afraid. he sent adreneline twice yesterday. fucking twice. not. a. fraid. good to meet you t-boz, sorry you had to go before we got to granite.

    silveradbro should go tomarrow.

oh and crashn'burnd and his brother were there the past two days, getting the best skiing this year in tahoe. way to time that trip boys!

storm cycles are sweet when they actually happen to you.

Agreed. That was teh shit. Kind of nice when the whole mountain is open and there's not the entire population hoarding one lift at a time like yesterday.

    Hey, fuck you, buddy!

Actually, I just had to post and say how I wish I could be hitting this cycle. Holding out hope for a late March visit- hopefully the storm door will be opening over Squaw again. Although I've been in Philly and now NYC for the last 4 years, I have spent way more time at Squaw than any other hill in the country over that time, and it is my #1 guy on the planet. It makes me happy just sitting back and seeing this poundage. Not as happy as if I was headed there yesterday, but pretty happy just the same.

    Fuckin' get some. Fuckin' right.

One of the benefits of being a mag is at least knowing that fellow mags are enjoying the post storm fest. It's a fucking sad existence, I know, but I somehow feel better that you guys are getting into the fresh, oh yeah I worked all day today.

I was hoping Friday would be a KW day for me, but now it looks like a daytrip on Sunday. Wasn't it Mick that said "you don't always get what you want..."?
