Kirkwood was actually alright. Perhaps because it was my first time on skis in a couple of weeks. The snow was definitely super-blower, but many nasties just under the 8+ inches.
I think I'll check out the pass tomorrow with the pooch.
Keep it coming Ullr.
the skiing at squaw was pretty damn good. the slot and c2 were smooth. break it out was a.o.k. with face shots earlier in the day. slim was christmasy. it was nice!

i'm in the same pic as dobbs!
i've made it!
Sanity check from Alpine. 6-8", nasty crust underneath. But no crowds. Life was good.
has anyone been out to h20 house the last couple of days?
i've heard rumors that it's actually been o.k. but i have my doubts. i was thinking of hiking up there after work to find out.
What did I tell you months ago and over and over?
I'm not complaining but whenever I leave Tahoe in ski season it pukes.
Enjoy!![]()

whatever I feel like i what to do!
I now greatly regret being responsible and driving back to the Bay after LBD. Tomorrow will probably be the shizzzzz... it was raining hard pretty much all the way down from KW.
Looks like I'm ending my lift-served season on 217 DH boards, not pow boards.

ok, maybe my wipers just suck or something. But I seem to remember getting rained on pretty steadily from the foothills to the bay. The only places I didn't get rained on were at KW to about 6500 (because it was snowing) and then a stretch near Jackson. Either way, it looks pretty steady now!
I could use a Bartles and James now BTW.

yes, and I quickly learned my lesson. I think everyone in TGR is familiar with NOAA and knows how to use it. No reason to post the warnings in threads. Everyday during ski season I hop on the internet to check the weather in hopes of seeing powder in the near future. I'm sure most people in these forums do the same. It's redundant to cut and paste the alerts, we already know.

jinx proof
Not true. there are plenty of people who don't bother to check , or don't do it nearly as often as you do, so this would be the first place they would hear about it. Extrapolating own behavior to everyone else is what often keeps good ideas from being developed.
