    ipod case question

A bit of a stupid question but I'll ask it anyways.

What kind of cases do you guys have? What is the best, aluminum, silicone, leather, plastic.....(something else?)

Have had no issues with the aluminum one that I have for my nano.

Just don't spill coffee on it.

Otter makes waterproof ones I've heard good things about from my kayaking buddies. I've never tried one though.

I've got one of the otterbox ones for my nano, a little bulky but very protected against shocks and a lot of water resistance too. Not sure that I'd say waterproof, the jack for the earbuds could be a problem with a full soaking.

I've got a rubber/silicone? case and can't wait to get rid of the thing! Pain in the ass getting the iPod in and out. Doesn't seem to seal it as well as some of the hard cases do either.

I have a Contour Showcase, it's basically clear plastic front and back with rubber around the edges, kinda foam-cushioned inside where it t ouches the iPod. I'm happy with it, other than it's not hard to scratch the plastic.

I just got an ipoderz and the iSkin Claro is da shit!

It's got a soft rubber inner for shock protection/scratches and a clear outer shell. Kinda pricey but well worth the protection imho.

Definitely recommend the Otterbox as well. I got one on ebay much cheaper than I could find elsewhere (it was brand new in the package)

Boom. This is the right answer for the full size video ipod. Great protection, low profile and easy on/off. For Nanos, look to Agent 18. For waterproof/snowproof, otterbox.

I just have a leather case for my Nano, something like this:

It bulks up the Nano but I have big pockets.
If you have a problem & think that someone else is going to solve it for you then you have two problems.

    Fifthed for the otter.

I keep it in my pants pocket, and I can access the buttons with the membrane through the fabric. Does a great job of keeping the clickwheel usable. play/pause, song skip, even volume with enough practice.

A little off topic but, I bought a thick silicone case for a 30/60 ipod video thinking it would fit my 60g ipod photo and it didn't. Bought it out of town and don't feel like going through the hassle of returning it so if anyone is in need PM me. Yours for shipping.
