    this is true. lensbaby doesnt offer as much control as TS does (its really more of a tilt/swing kinda lens with incidental shift/rise/fall) you don't get independent adjustment... but then it doesnt cost $1000 like the canon TSEs and the canon TSE's are limited in their movements as well.

    If you *REALLY* need a lot of TS stuff for architecture... maybe a 4x5 is in your future? or maybe a hassie flexbody or arcbody?

    i would mainly be using it for portraiture - manipulating depth of field, etc.

    Funny how a thread about the possibly highest tech piece of photo equipment got shifted to be about one of the lowest tech.

    About the 1DIII, it sure seems like a fine piece of camera. That the photographer now can self tune the AF for each lense is a great improvement (that do highlight some shortcomings of AF systems).

    It will be interesting to follow the pricing of htis camera and also what is does do prices of used 1DII, 5D etc. I'll be holding on to my 1DII for a while though.
