Alpine Friday, Mammy Sat/Sun

Hey woo and OHC and other Alpine mags: Friday @ Summit 6, 8:30AM - be there and let's ski 'ze fresh.

I am then planning a Mammy road trip, ain't had time to get down there yet this year. Departing Truckee Friday later afternoon, anyone want to rally?

And Mammy locals, where is the designated meeting spot? Would love to ski with some of you guys on Sat. Am bringing BC gear too...

Sadly, I won't be at AM until Saturday. And I have to fly from Reno to Dall-ass on Sunday afternoon, so no Mammy trip for me.

After doing the 4 day weekend last weekend, I need to get some work done.

(but the daddy/daughter ski weekend was worth missing a powder day

)

I also will not be at Alpine until sat.

might be at AM tomorrow w/ one of my lil maggettes in tow.

i'll definitely be there Fri-Sun coaching and poaching the best lines with my team. it pays to have a team jacket on powder days

I plan to be there for the morning Friday. Dropping daughter in the lodge so she can nurse her broken wrist. Son is off to team and will be chomping at the bit for fresh tracks on his new fat skis (he's carpet skiing right behind me as I type this - we just picked up his new Scratch BCs). My mom may be along with us which will slow me down if she intends to try to come along, but I suspect she'll want to take a few runs with my son in the am (she's too slow for him too).

I'll be wearing gray pants with a mustard colored jacket and black helmet. Riding a racing snowboard with orange hard boots.

Sorry, I don't mean to be a prick about this, but can everyone please STFU with "mammy"? It sounds like a hyphenated version of a certain part of the female anatomy, and as a mammoth local, no one here calls it that.

Can we erase this out of our vocabulary?

No. Can't help it. Everytime I go to to Mammoth I think of pancakes and Aunt Jemima. So Mammy it stays.

No, if the storm hits locally, I'm going to Baldy. I have a pass I picked up at the Viper Room that I'd like to use.

Plus there was (still is?) a killer 50K held there and it'd be kool to ski a place where I once raced, a la Squaw.

Mrs. Comish and I will be out at Mammoth on Sat. Tough call on the meeting point because of uncertain opening times. I would suggest if things are actually open already, then in front of the Midd Gondi steps around 10am. If not, PM for cell phone and will triangulate via text's as who knows where we will be when.

with the +-24 kids under my charge this past weekend, i can't imagine *not* riding with one of my kid's parents. things were crazy, but fun!

NWS saying most snow hits Thur, showers Fri, so Sat shoul be good to go, can't imagine they will have delayed openings after 2 days to deal...

so is Midd Gondi @ 10AM the call?
