As one who donated to the fund, I can tell you without hesitation that the details are irrelevant to me. Shmoe didn't ask for the help. My choice to give and his choice to accept that gift, in no way obligates him to disclose any information.

If anyone gave to the fund, it was a gift. That gift didn't buy any access to information or details. If you thought it did, you were mistaken.

yeah, this thread is in poor taste, but so are plenty of other behaviors that have been exhibited by maggots far and wide.

what's up "concerned maggots?" are you that maggot that demo-woman confided in? your motives appear altruistic at first glance, but it reeks of personal involvement.

i didn't donate and will never accept money from maggots, but i respect their decision to give, whatever their motives.

this thread certainly highlights the illusion of the maggots as a "community."

No, because we choose to give. He didn't ask. If he had come peddling for it, then yeah, an explanation would be in order, but he didn't.

All the questions asked by "cm" ran through my head as well because I know a few people who are toying with that lifestyle, but none of it mattered/matters in this situation, and Shmoe doesn't owe anyone on this board an explanation because we choose to help him.

If he had presented the situation as one way and then people gave and it turned out to be something different from what he had originally said, then I could see why questions might need to be asked. But that's not what happened. The giving started before we knew anything and Shmoe has been more forthcoming than I think I would have been in the same situation.

All im saying is that these questions are most likely posted by someone who is invested in the community, and doesn't want to fuck it up. Also a quality mag has backed it up, so maybe we should let it ride. I hate censorship, which is also why I like this place. Been around for awhile and personally think threads should never be deleted (besides pictures of shit, obviously). Shmoe made his buisness public, and got money from the public, so now its all public.

And no, he doesn't owe us an explanation, but WE owe him the ability to read this thread and decide for himself.

IMHO, Z is right. Let's not start censorship because a particular subject is distasteful.

Also, I am going to play devil's advocate and suggest you re-read CM's post.

This is pure speculation, but one or more of the mags, (probably from UT) have become privy to information that might change the way this situation is viewed. Just read between the lines of both CM and AC's posts.

Many of you may want to view the situation simply as a woman commits suicide, a man is left grieving and the maggots respond with sympathy. That is the easy and simple way to view the situation.

CM seems to be trying to let you know that the truth might be much more difficult to handle. The knee jerk response is to discredit CM and to essentially 'shut him up', in an effort to not have your view of the situation complicated.

CM if you have information that you think is important and that you can back up, I suggest you give Shmoe his chance, but you better be ready to back up your suggestions of statements made by Shmoe that are "misleading or selfserving or worse."

CM, you clearly put alot of thought into your post, therefore, I hope for your sake that you put alot of thought into all the potential repercussions of your accusations.

Je zus K riest! What a bunch of crap. I can only speak for myself. I knew and still know full well what I was doing sending money to Doug. It is the least I can do. It's what this "community" is all about. I don't care about and am not at all interested in the "details" of this time in his life. It's none of my fucking business and I would venture to say it is also none of anyone else's! I just wanted to help a brother out. My eyes were and are wide open. Doug can do whatever he wishes with the funds sent. Nice way to tarnish an incredible effort on everyone's part.
