Kirkwood, California, USA will host the IFSA World Tour Finals 2004 Kirkwood’s Cirque has long been renowned as one of the best venues for Big Mtn Freeskiing. Now the best athletes in the world will be in attendance as it is not just the final of the IFSA North American Tour but also the IFSA World Tour. “It is unfortunate that there is not enough snow in Les Arcs to hold the World Tour Final. starting just below the big rocks on a traverse, it's pretty much one or two moves then into the open, although maybe this year they included the cliff bands below the pic, I dunno...
pretty small time but its something anyway
we were trying to start a weekly event where a cam would set up for an hour or so and the best line as judged later in the afterskibar wins a pitcher, new line every week, hope they still got that goin'...
it'd be cool if the IFSA had a masters division- 35 or 40 and up, it might tempt more of us older guys to compete... and maybe teach the young doods something

See, that's the thing though. I already ski with a few of the guys who were supposed to do the Les Arcs event every so often (sorry, no xover namedropping...). I already know they will dominate me like MountainMan dominates those poor sheep - I'm not super keen on dropping a couple hundred dollars (and that's if I don't party. Hah) to get whooped on. I'd rather spend money to freeski, rather than sit around for one run to face the inevitable. We'll see how the Crystal IFSA comp goes, and then I'll know for sure.
