    Add-on Tachometer?

I have a '96 f-150 that doesn't have a tach. Is there such a thing as an aftermarket tach? i used to have an exhaust leak that let me hear how fast the engine was running, but now that I fixed it I can't tell. I know what gear to be in for what speed I'm going, but still it would be nice to see my rpm.

    short answer - yes

long answer - yes, but you could also go to a wrecker and find a similar model dash that already has a tacho and get that installed for less.
depends how "cool" you wanna look

There are a ton of aftermarket tachs out there. As Nexus said, you could also try finding something that will fit in your dash and look stock (if there's room in there for it).

    Some good old school tachs:

And a digital one if you want to get high-tech:

Pretty simple install on either of them...
