    My EHP193s have recambered

Yea, thats right, recambered. Not decambered, recambered.

When I got these they had about 1-2mm of camber between the two skis.

After about 20 days on em, they have just as much, if not more, camber than the first production run of blems. With the two skis together (and the brakes rubberbanded) they have at least a cm, maybe a touch more, between em.

I'm guessing 4frnt didn't remake the skis, they just tried to bend em? Fucking weak sauce.

I absolutly loved these things my first run, and my first few days on em. Recently though, I have noticed things I don't like quite as much. A big part of that is that they ski pretty short, but maybe the camber has something to do with the other things, like the feeling that they're getting bounced around more now.

So what do you guys think my chances of getting them warrantied are? Anyone dealt with 4frnt before, do they suck? Its not really a big enough problem that I'd send em in right away, since who knows when I'd get em back. I'll probably keep em till the end of the season at least.

I got them from procterjones.com, and I guess its possible that those guys tried bending the skis themselves, instead of sending em back to 4frnt, but I seriously doubt that.

There was a barely noticeable amount of camber when I put the two skis together new, maybe 2mm between em. Its a lot more than that now.

I don't get it - were the older models cambered? Is that why you think either 4frnt or PJ bent the skis? that would be weak (and very strange since that would be hard to do with any kind of consistency)...

Yea, the first run came out with about how much camber mine have now, maybe a touch less, and 4frnt recalled them all. I am guessing they just tried rebending them, since remanufacturing the whole run would have taken a lot of time. I just assumed that they made a second production run, and trashed the first, since bending them seems retarded, but now I'm starting to wonder.

Just goes to show, don't buy anything on its first year. I just couldn't resist though.

And mtlion, yea, I remember Z saying he had 40+ days on his, and that was back when I first got mine, I remember, because it was in my review thread.

EDIT: I just remembered that Z said this:

interesting stuff. i'm splitting the difference: mine started with minimal camber (almost none) and have remained that way. they continue to ski well, although i haven't taken them out all that much this season (under 15 days on them).

the mean's good, but the variance is a bitch.
