    new board time

not looking for suggestions, already have a good idea of what i'm leaning towards, but here's the question.

why hasn't the foam thing been figured out yet? boards are easily $200 more than they were before clark shut down.

so, who's selling stuff for less? if i'm looking at a channel islands, does it make sense to go up to SB to get one? Jack's? places i don't know of?

how about shapers? how much have customs increased?
    fine

I can put you in touch with my shaper in HI. He used to shape for Occy and does a lot of boards for Local Motion spancered riders

350 cash gets you a custom shape. Add 20-50 for airbrush and 80 to ship to da mainland.

Just don't tell him that you plan on entering the Pipeline Classic. He wouldn't like that because he feels it brings out the worst in the human animal.

Cordell custom shapes are $425. Got one in Dec and it's been great. Cordell is incredibly cool and down to earth. Went into his shop and talked about the shape I wanted for about an hour. He uses Just Foam out of Oceanside.

I ordered two EPS boards last summer. One was a fish and the other was a thruster (albeit a beefy one). I hate the way EPS feels. I will be sticking with polyurethane unless and until something new & better comes along. I don't think epoxy is the answer.

I may hit you up for that contact info. Thinking about hitting HI in April and was planning on getting something in the 6'6" range to fill a gap in the quiver. Might as well pick up a board there for $350 and only ship it one way.
I should want to cook him a simple meal, but I shouldn't want to cut into him, to tear the flesh, to wear the flesh, to be born unto new worlds where his flesh becomes my key.

I was shocked at how quick Cordell got me my board. I was just cleaning out some files yesterday and I found the invoice he gave me when I put down my deposit. It was dated 4 November. I rode the board on Thanksgiving Day, and I always let them cure for at least four or five days. It was literally about two weeks.
