Golfer Davis Love 3 has a splitboard?!?!

So I'll admit to enjoying golf, and leaving the Golf Channel on last night but I woke up this morning and their "sportscenter" type program is on, and while I'm getting dressed, they run a DL3 human interest story, I half pay attention as sure enough it starts out showing his beautiful house in Sun Valley Idaho, and all its nice rooms and great views of Mt Baldy and whatnot.

But as DL3 continues on his tour, he shows off his snowboard quiver of about 5-6 boards, he pulls out a board and tells the camera that its his powder board, and this is his hardpack board. Now being one to hoard skis as well as golf clubs my interest was piqued, especially by the board on the top of the rack. I think to myself, that looks like a splitboard, why would someone like DL3 have any use for something like that since he obviously isn't going to do something stupid like hike up a mountain to ski down, thats for idiots like me who don't like ski lifts . Well its a big house with lots of people in it, maybe its not his. So the camera pulls back and DL3 points to the top board and remarks "thats a splitboard, you can split it in half so you can use it to hike up the mountain". The story closes by showing DL3 boarding around the resort and I lo and behold the man can actually board, he even throws a 360 in the park

I nominate DL3 for honorary maggot status so we can all crash at his pad in Sun Valley!!!
For sure, you have to be lost to find a place that can't be found, elseways everyone would know where it was

I second the nomination. Great golfer. Lots of steezy pink sweaters from RL, too.

great golfer, dad was a pro, glad he's had a major for a while so people don't pester him with the "big win" type of stuff.

had no idea about snowboarding, but he was talking about surfing a few weeks back during the mercedes.
    fine

3rd the nomination. There was a pretty interesting article in Golf Digest a year or 2 ago, with pics of him and his hammer-sized motorhome/bus, complete with storage/ramp for his Harley. And a plasma TV that swings out of the compartment so you can kick back in a lawn chair and watch....hmmm....Golf Channel Sportscenter thing?

Yeah love DL3 - got the chance to meet him 2 years ago when i was golfing in Sea Island, GA and he was super chill. And he was driving a sweet jacked up pickup. Definately wouldn't mind having the life he has...
