I won! I won the first ever Red Bull Cold Rush Chinese-Downhill. That's right, I said Chinese-Downhill. The conditions ended up being so hard and gnarly at Red that they postponed the big-mountain/slopestyle portion of the event and in place ran an out-of-skis-start Chinese-Downhill with a run and beer chug finish. I was slow out of the gate but managed to pass about 7 people, finish in the finish corral first and run about 100 yards to the beer table to slam down probably the tastiest beer of my short life. Chris Rubens placed second with James Hiem rounding our third. And in place of the money, Red Bull is sending us three cat-skiing in the locale of our choice. Sounds sick because if they gave us money we would all end up spending it on skiing anyways. Stoked fellers!
