Elan MO2 Rails or Völkl Expressions?

OK, I'm sort of missing a skinny ski at the moment, and can get a pretty good price on either.

Now the Q's, which one?

They will mostly be used for hardback cruising, some spring touring and even occational ventutes into the park.

Elans (175cm) are somewhat used ( a few gashes on the base) and Völkls are brand new (but almost 40 % more, and yes I'm a bit tight on €€€'s)... The Völkls are either 175cm 04/05's or 03/04's 178cm.

So maggots, what say thee?

i have the old m02 (05) which delammed on me after 30 days. it was replaced with warranty, so at least that's a plus.

the topsheet is chippy and they're more susceptible to core shots than i would expect them to be (although they are my rock skis right now).

i like them. stiff underfoot and turny. if you get them going fast they'll prefer to be on edge.

no idea on the völkls, but i hope that much helps

1080's would be a good option.... alas none available at the prices I'm talking now (Völkl's go for 120 Eur, new and shipped to my door/office).

K2 Enemas are a bit too heavy (and wide) for spring touring... And yet again, none at the price range I'm looking...

Seems like, I'll be getting the Völkls as the guy selling those Elans acts as a jerk... On the plus side, if the Völkls explode, atleast they should have warranty as they are new and from a official retailer (so after I have abused them in the park and spring chuting, I'll ship 'em back and demand a pro-form hookup).

I'll never be spancered... I suck, way too much.
