Stay strong shmoe. We all care very much about you and want to help you in any way possible. Please don't lose sight of the good that can exist in this world. Please consider getting out of the house for a little while. Staying with some family or friends would be good for you. You don't have to be alone in this when so many want to help.

That's some powerful shit you just said, shmoe. I have quite an excess of ski porn that I'd be willing to part with if it were to do you some good. Just ask.

I will say from my perspective as a "regular" here that you would be SORELY missed, just as DW is sorely missed. So get out and do what you need to do to ease your mind, however that is.

God, I am so sorry to hear about all of this. It truly is a nightmare, one of my friends take his own life when I was younger, but that pales in comparison to what you are going through. Stay strong, and know that you are in the thoughts and prayers of many people.

Hang in there buddy. Life has a beautiful way of working itself out. 3 years ago, I was defaulting on a mortgage, shutting the doors on my life long business dream and losing a very close family member. Now here today, I can honestly say I have never been happier. Better days are ahead, trust and take faith in that.

Doug, please take up the offer of others to babysit the gun. We need you, your family needs you and Brit's family needs you now more than ever. Be strong, as hard as this is. Know that you and Brit are loved and we want to continue to share your experiences in person and in this community.

All of our thoughts, prayers, vibes are with you in this tough time. You can do this. We will all help you.

    Peace,

    Doug,

Wow, I am so sorry for your loss. You and I have never met in person but we chatted via TGR a lot over the holidays regarding Savannah's basket etc. If you need anything, PM me and I will call you. I know I'm in MN, but will do whatever I can or find someone to help you. You have a huge support network here of very good friends. I only wish I could hop a plane and be there in person. I'll be in MT at the end of the month if you want to get away and ski for a couple days, or just hang out. I have a huge condo rented with tons of extra space. God Bless

I've lost a family member to suicide. It's a tough one to deal with psychologically. I know you don't know me, but if you want to talk to someone who's been through it, let me know.

    So sorry for your loss.

If anyone can get word out, I would like to come by and pick up any weapons that need storage. I will lock them up and release them whenever they need to be but I feel very strongly about just keeping things like guns out of site, out of mind. My # is 801-979-4790 if you need to call, anytime, day or night. Like MD9 said, we can help with the house as well. Stay stong.

Great offer Mr. AG. If somebody can get this message to Doug, this is a most excellent idea. Many of us are worried abotu the guns in the house...

Schmoe, my heart is breaking for you. Please, lean on those who love you - there are many. You don't have to stay strong and go through this by yourself.

And please, don't be afraid to seek professional help. Zoloft and counseling were integral to recovering from my daughter's death.

    PM sent.

Shome, I can't even begin to imagine what you are going through at this time. But stay strong and know that this community is here for you. Please don't hesitate to ask if you need absolutely anything.

Just to reiterate what others have said, remember that things WILL get better. What you are going through sucks, but you will be happy again one day. You will smile again, you will laugh again, and, at that time, you will be really glad that you did not do anything rash during this difficult time.

The guns are gone..My dad has the last one that the police missed. Any maggots that can come to the funeral or viewing would be appreciated...

Doug, thank you for checking in and letting us know you are okay. I am so happy to hear that the guns are out of the house. We are thinking about you and praying.

    Stay strong, brother.

    I'll be there in spirit.

If there's anything else I can do, please don't hestitate to ask. As others have mentioned, don't let any of the house or bills bother you, that stuff is not important.

I spoke with Doug again and not only is the gun out but he is too. He is with his parents, as he should be.

Doug, I just spoke to by boss and I will be there on Monday at 1.

Meatdrink and the Altagirl family, your help with the house will be much appreciated. Feel free to call me for Doug's phone number. I am in touch with him a few times a day right now.

If I can't help financially, I can sure be a friend.

    Buzz,

Thanks so much for stepping up! Everyone should be as lucky as Doug to have a close friend like you watching after him. I know he appreciates. We also appreciate the updates you have been giving us and anything you can provide gives to some extent some piece of midn that Doug is doing well. I know I can speak for everyone when I say he is at the forefront of all of our minds and we like to hear that is safe, with people who are looking after him. Thanks again.

Doug, when you start to look at selling the house perhaps consider other options - like getting roomates to help with the mortgage, or possibly renting it out.

Meatdrink9 has had some success with this approach, maybe he could give you some ideas.

    schmoe,

I'm so sorry for your loss.

As someone who's looked down the wrong end of the barrel, who's suffered emotionally, and who's walked in your moccasins, you've got to find strength somewhere. You're a young man, your future is in front of you.

If you need someone to talk to please call me anytime. Drop me a PM, I'll call you right back.

As I say, you have friends in Eagle County. If you're ever nearby, I'd like to buy you lift tickets. If you're nearby and need a good meal or a warm bed, just let me know. I'm not hiring right now, but we do have the need for graphic design. Once you feel like it, drop me a line. Maybe I can send you some work.

There's a lot of people out there who care about you, even though most of us have never met you. You have friends who love you, stay close to them now.

    I'll be sending $$.

    Peace,

I know my roommate will be there on Monday as with many of the BC.com folks. Hang in there Doug, and just remember, one step at a time
