    Favorite/least favorite shows

Anyone have any shows that they can't live without / wish had never been aired?

I'll start by saying Lost and Sopranos can keep me entertained for weeks, but I'll never get into the reality craze!

I don't like Lost only because there is no plot-line unimaginable. They could write anything from week to week and it would be believable because of the "mystery." Are they in a parallel universe? Are they on another planet? Is it all someone's dream? Whatever. A five-year-old could come up with next weeks episode featuring the boogey man, and it would go over great.

The one show I absolutely can't stand is American Idol. Music is already overrun by worthless hacks whose only redeeming quality is boobs or a pretty face - why do we need more of it? And, for Chrissakes, stop throwing complete douche bags up there who couldn't sing their way into a lip-synching contest.

Deal or No Deal is mildly entertaining, and might be a bit better if it weren't for the fact that it seems like they grabbed all of their contestants out of the Wheel of Fortune reject pile. Even Howie looks like he wants to slap some of them. If I see one more person turn down $200k and eventually leave with $426, I'm going to shoot myself. These are the same people who use their "special numbers" to play the lottery.

As far as other game shows go, IMO you've got Jeopardy and The Price is Right, and that's it. There's a reason those two shows have been on for so long. Jeopardy is unpossible for most of us, which is what makes it so good. As far as the cheesy-ness of The Price is Right goes....hey, at least they don't try to fool you into thinking it's serious. There's no smoke and mirrors. There's no dramatic music or lame theatrical lighting effects. Just a bunch of eye-popping colors and contestants from the mid-west with caffeine for blood who scream every word that comes out of their mouth, but can't figure out how to do it into the microphone. You've never in your life seen someone so excited to win everything on aisle 5 of your local Vons.

As for reality shows, to me sports is the only reality show worth watching. Unscripted, unrehearsed, and striking to the core of what it is to be human.

    I love the 70s/80s/90s
    The Soup
    Best Week Ever!
    all VH1 countdowns
    all Celebriality shows

... basically I can live on just E! and VH1. And yes, I'm the president of the Michael Ian Black fan club.
