Did someone say sandwich? Chicken salad sammy with provolone and spicy mustard sounds good right about now.

For sure, you have to be lost to find a place that can't be found, elseways everyone would know where it was

I'm most likely passing up on K-mart tomorrow and heading to SB. I'd really like to hit Stowe... maybe if I can convince the others.

Nope, not open. Skiable with rock skies. The trickiest part was getting to the top of it via witch. Basically no snow on witch due to wind. It was a lot of fun and my skies aren't that bad off. Only double ejected once after landing on a rock.

I skies some other natural trails too. Just one decent storm and we will be rolling.

Stowe is so expensive because they are building a mini New York city at spruce peak.

Bony/thin where the wind blows. Great on the protected areas. Broomstick to Heart of Magician are very skiable.

just got back from stowe, COLD AS BALLS, but so money. about 8-10 of fresh, and with the high winds that meant windolading to the tune of 15-20 inches in the trees. Gondola was on wind hold all day, myself and 2 others did the bootback from the bottom or rimrock all the way to the top of the chin, wasn't bad till breaking trail up the chin, which took an hour and a half. Up top, around -5 degrees with 40-50 mile sustained winds. Hourglass was the tits, getting wide as hell now, wide enough to ski in 1 big turn and not even worry about it. Then dropped into one of our stashes, perfect open glades all the way down to the benchwoods, snow varying from a 8 inches to around 2 feet deep. I tried to take pics, I really did, but I took my camera out for 2 minutes before we hiked the chin, and it froze before I could even take a single picture. I'm down for photoslutting all day tomorrow if any other mags will be at stowe with cameras, I know a few places that will still be untracked, let alone the gondola side which was closed all day today.

You're all welcome. I left town and have been skiing the "dirtbahn" in Austria all week. I hope there is some left when I get back on Monday.

fuck that. big spruce was occasionally the shit after everything else was tracked out b/c it was a pain in the ass to get to. blah. i am tempted to say fuck stowe forever, if i didn't like the mountain and the trees so much.

i'd rather give my money to mad river anyways.

I'm sure the bootpack up the gully must have been a bitch, but way to get after it. How are things looking compared to last year? I'd love to see some pow shots from the kitchen wall, chin, etc...fuck, anywhere. I need an east coast fix.
