Do any of the Utards know shmoesmith?

And can try to contact him? He hasn't logged in since he started the thread (quite understandable), but I know many, including myself would like to know that somebody talked to him and heard his voice.

    Just a thought.

i don't have his # or anything (last name?)... all i know is he lives in West Jordan.

Savannah Cooks' dad should though- Sunderbeam.

however, I do know that as soon as Lynx read that news, she told a mutual friend of Doug/Britney, and that girl called Schmoe immediately. (not sure of any details after that)

was thinking the same thing ... some Utard, make it happen please ... as well as a memorial of some kind either to help with funeral expenses or for something worthy in her name so she has a living legacy

I was thinking the same. It would be good for those of us who are far away to be able to contribute. Could somebody do this?

I'd be in. I'd prefer something more than flowers though. Maybe a little something to get him through this tough time, like some prepared meals or a gift certificate to a meals to go place. A memorial with the extra would be good too.

having been directly involved with 7 family funerals in the past 8 years, i can honestly say that flowers are waaaaaaaay overdone. the meal suggestion is an excellent one -- i wish i was in utah so i could pitch in.

in times of grief, people do forget to do the simplest things -- like shave, sleep, and eat.

I posted in the other thread, but think it would be good if a Utard can let us know what the funeral announcements say re: donations. It would be good to pool money here in someone's paypal account and then make one big donation IMO. I'm sure they will have a ton of flowers btw...

Perhaps a local w/ a paypal account is willing to step up and manage the donations?
