i can get lodging nailed down in telluride for people on thursday night or saturday night through some friends of mine who work in the business down there. they can't get you guys much of a discount, but they can get 10% off which amounts to all the ridiculous taxes that are charged disappearing.

if the snow looks good in wolfie, my family has a log home 7 miles south of pagosa that everyone is welcome at. if sleds were around, we can put ina track and ski some short, steep laps five minutes from the house on our land.

otherwise I am gunning to get some sleds down there to ski the hourglass on WC pass. that is my goal, but it is all snow dependent. if the snow is better in t-ride i will be there all week. if the snow sucks everywhere I will be in moab for the beginning ofthe week.

feel free to let me know if people want me to nail down a place in t-ride - the offer stands but is time sensitive since that it spring break. if you want me to find a place, I need to know the number of people and what you are looking for (i.e. do you want a small condo and jam lots of folks into it or do you want a place where everyone has a bed...)

I'll be @ Silverton 3/29 and around the area for a bit, pinging between Taos, Silverton, Telluride, Crusty Butt and maybe AhSpend.

I'll be with my family, so the likelihood of hanging out with you all to install inflatible dolls in liftshack and lifttowers or mixing munitions with smooth meats and pickles is minimal.

I know I can trust you to carry on without me.

There was some confusion on that as I recall. reidhresko had started setting up the cool digs earlier when it looked like this schedule. (You were the fist to jump at this BTW. Ref to post #16)
Then a lil' later, Max had something out with the Aspen end listed after SWCO. - but I think that went away when this same conflict came up.

I'm not sure if it really even matters. If folks want to head to Aspen post S-ton, you could just add that option in. BUt for the most part I think some sort of conglomeration would be better.

My 2 cents is we stay with Aspen first followed by SWCO.

I'm in for the entire summit with a strong preference for ski touring IF (BIG IF) I can hitch a ride with someone from and to Denver Airport (or rent a car together with someone else). I'm happy to work around the dates as I'm pretty flexible.

I'm in for pretty much the whole thing. Might get to Aspen Sunday, might be Monday, but I'm there for the duration afterward.

The plan is to leave the Dirty Jerz on the 22nd, roll the 'General Sherman' south thru all the states I haven't been thru yet, and end up in El Paso. Quick border crossing to Ciudad Juarez for a sombrero, tequila, and a luchador mask.

Then mob it up thru Whitesands w/a stop in Abiquiu (friends there) and be to Aspen in time for the festivities.

Of course this is all subject to change, but I think it'll come together nicely. Steve - still down?

Would love to attend as its been awhile since I attended a Summit, but these dates conflict with the Kirkwood Big Mtn comp which I'm signed up for this year. I'll be looking forward to the reports & photos of the debauchery.

If maggots are going to be in Aspen for Wednesday and Thursday, I'll go down to Aspen. I'd still like to do the cat skiing thing on Friday if we can get a group together - if not I'm up for touring somewhere. Thinking about heading to Telluride on Saturday, then driving back to Denver on Sunday.

    Spdfrk43-
Get with BZ & see what you guys can come up with.
Also see MadMatt - he just came back from SJSC (San Juan Ski Company)
    I know if we can fill a cat (10 I think) it's $200/ head instead of $250.
and I think Phish was maybe checking things out.

I'll leave it in your hands.

I will be around and would like to help organize some skiing, perhaps a sled-accessed BC day with about 4-5 sleds, which might obviate the need for the Cat day.

Anyway, I am psyched it is coming to A-town and will definitely do my part to make it a great experience.

PM me for any specific stuff. It will be fun

Summit The annual global meeting of Maggots for skiing and general debauchery. Location changes each year, and the appointed Summit organizer is required to get injured somehow.

Heh, nobody appointed me... did they?... Did they?

Oh crap. I forgot about the clause. Who wants to be the "appointed" chosen one?

For Silverton day: Refer to Silverton Summit 3/29/2007 ++ for the reservations & such other things THAT YOU NEED TO DO.

For the SJSC Cat skiing: Refer to CO Summit - San Juan Cat Skiing - Sign Up Sheet and put your name in there. Below Zero is trying to get commitment & get that rolling.

    Yo FZ:

Thanks for taking this into your hands. I'll be there for 4 aspen days (to burn my 4-pak) and definitely the Silverton Thursday. Not sure if I'll be coming down to Aspen Friday night or Saturday night (may want to try to ski Wednesday at Aspen). I'd definitely be interested in the cat skiing operation. If I can do it for less than $150, sign me up. (I'll go check that thread today).

I'll be sleeping in my car so far as I can tell, so if anyone in the Aspen area wouldn't mind just letting me have a shower 2 or 3 times over the course of the days, I would be most utterly grateful and would happily compensate you in Cajun food delights.
