Hate to put my .02 in here, but the first "rap" song was by a white girl back in the late 70's and was coined "rap" by a white DJ in Cleveland i do believe.

This post definitively shows that you are out of your depth and do not know what you are talking about.

So in your hiphop hypocracy, who did start rap? and who coined it as such and when?

And no, not from the MN crass, TOO cold there for me. Went to school there.

    Did you mean: hypocrisy?
"The practice of professing beliefs, feelings, or virtues that one does not hold or possess; falseness."

I don't see how that applies here. Nor do I see why I should site sources when you have failed to do so. It's simple, you don't know what you're talking about. You'd have to go back to the late 50s to understand rap's origins.

If you're thinking Blondie with Rapture in 79 or 80, she was credited with having the 1st rap video played on MTV and one of the first rap songs to get "mainstream" radio play.
Sugarhill Gang put out Rappers Delight in, what, '76 and I suspect that it goes back prior to that but I'm too lazy to do any research on it.

I've learned two things from this thread.

One-Crass is a dumb fucking idiot who still thinks Bon Jovi and White Lion are the sickness.

Two-Leroy Jenkins is almost as dumb, trying to teach me about hip-hop.
