    4frnt and P18

So I have heard, and I am not sure if it is true that some people have problems with the P18 binding pulling out of their 4frnt skis. Is this true? Is it because of the narrow screws they use or what? I also heard that if you are someone who is hucking alot and landing switch that this binding has too tight of a setup and will pull out of the skis. What is the deal with that? Should someone on 4frnt be thinking about a PX 14 ti, PX 12 jib or a scratch 140 ti or something?

There is truth to this rumor, although I think the same could be said of this binding on any ski where you are landing switch alot. I know the 4FRnT doods were real sick of seeing P18 mounted skis come back to them, but that was a couple years ago and they've gone through two different manufacturers of their skis since then. For what it's worth, last year at this time Sterbenz was rolling around skiing on P18s on his skis. His explaination was that the Deadbolts were sold out an in such high demand that he didn't have a pair left for him to ski on.

if that's all the DIN you need, won't you save some dough that way?
do you really NEED an 18 DIN with no straight up release? yes, IT IS metal and durable, and hard chargers/huckers need them, but if you're light, don't break bindings, and aren't that high of a release setting, it's a very good binding.
    No longer stuck.

whatever you do, don't get the 4frnt bindings. they are the heaviest turd i have ever seen. they keep your toe in this stupid barely enagued place. If your light, get z12s and be done. If you're a brawny lad, fks 155 and done.

I know that I don´t need the Din up to 18, i usually rock it below 10 anyways, I have some P12's on my Trouble Makers, but here is the deal. I am proforming the P18, and since the only other option is the Axial2 or the PX12 Jib, there isn't much else I can do. I guess I might be able to get the FKS 155, what do you all think? I just really dont want to go down to the PX heel piece.

Don't listen to that hunter mountain gaper. Get the P18. I think it will work fine in your 4FRNTS.

If you don't really need din to 18, you could always get the P18's anyways and trade them on here for something you prefer + cash/other
