    us freeski nationals crash vid



    anybody know who this is? it's in snowbird utah. it shows a guy skiing away at the end of the vid but i don't see how anyone could get up from a slam that bad. dude was inches away from slipping the mortal coil. there's a few more decent ones at http://www.skibiffs.blogspot.com

    THat was Julian Gaidet in 2005 getting bent in half. I thought he would be badly broken but instead just a minor shoulder injury.

    Yeah I was sitting right there when it happened. The sound it made when he hit the rocks was sickening. From my angle it looked like he would come up a lot shorter. Must have got disoriented on take off. He was down for probably 15 minutes, but then just got up and skied away.
