    Getting into touring

I'm looking into getting started with doing a little touring and hitting up some backcountry lines. I'm really getting sick of resorts and itd be nice to get out from all the corprate bullshit. I also want to do some touring with my dad. Whats the cheapest way to get started with gear, i have a pair of 189 seth viscous' that i love and have s912s on there and really like that combo so i think trekkers are the right thing for me but thats all i really know about backcountry skiing stuff. And i'm a long time snowmobiler so i have shovel probe beacon and know how to use it all so im pretty much good with avalanche stuff. Also if anyone has any good recomendations on places to get started in colorado, i'm new to the non motorized areas

You haven't lurked around here very long have you? First read this thread

When you are done reading it, and have posted up some trip reports and a little bit more about yourself, then you can ask questions like the one above. Oh yeah, naked pics of your wife/sister always help too

    regarding gear advice
    sell the 912s for 70$
use the 125-175 youd spend on trekkers
and buy a pair of naxos of fritschis

    then get yourself some education
    books, classes, etc
