    hottronic makes a good one,

sold them for 2 years, and have taken 1 back, (from a ski instructor that used it 150 days a year)

110 or 220V, boot and glove ends, timer, light heat and lots of air.

you can make a really good one from aquarium parts. All you need is the little plug-in air pump, and the clear plastic line with a bunch of t-fittings to make a manifold. I use a mainline out of the pump, into a t-fitting, then each of those into another t-fitting, so I have 4 long hoses... one into each boot, and one into each glove/mitt... cost about $15! All it does is circulate room temp air down into the nether-regions of the boots/gloves - but it seems to work just fine!

I'm partial to Snap-Dry, they're kinda bulky to travel with but they're fast so you can do your boots in just a couple hours and then your gloves. work really well but not hot enough to hurt anything.

edit: apparently they've been bought by Hottronics, still the same idea though. http://cozywinters.com/shop/hf5201sd.html

I've used the DryGuy Circulator for over 3 years now and it is still working. I'm sure I've used it well over 100 times now. Not much too it, which is nice because it doesn't take up much room in a bag on trips.

    not really very portable

    http://www.alwaysbrilliant.com/aa/as...t%20dryers.htm

the radiant heater ones that try to circulate air through convective currents supposedly do well

also consider just puting your boots ontop of and upside on the floor air vents or near the air recirculation vent.

I have this one by Therm-ic. It works real good and folds up to be pretty small.

I can't imagine anything will stand up to your foot funk though, Grant.

A cheap hair dryer from Walmart , K-Mart or Rite Aid. Been using the same one for over 5 years. Works great. Small, compact, fits into a suitcase for traveling. Some can get pretty hot, so just use a medium setting.

They actually work great if you want to remold your boot liner.

    Ok,

Just pulled the triger on the hotronic / snapdry.

With custome liners and footbeds I'm not taking any chances and quite frankly the thermic looks way to simular to the seirus pieces of shit that keep breaking.

Now will see if they stand up to 12hr aday for 200 days in a row

12 hours? My thermic makes soggy boots dry in about an hour with little heat involved.

Yeah, and I am too lazy to turn them off in an hour. I jsut throw my boots on them when I get home, and don't turn em off till i leave. Plus factor in the dryer sheers, and my boots and my room is always "spring fresh"

Got the same Thermic dryers. Been working fine for a year or so. I think Grant's funk is raging against the machine.

110 blower motor from McMaster Carr and welded up a manifold setup.
Moves more than enough air to simultaneously dry four pairs of boots and four pairs of gloves.

Built a PVC wall mounted dryer for the whole famn damily. The fan is an exhaust fan like you would use in a bathroom ceiling. $12 at the Depot. You can make this for as many skiers as you want. I bought caps to place on the un-used ports so all the air goes to the boots & gloves that are wet. I put the gear on when I get home & everything is dry in the morning. No heater. Just lots of air.
