If not 183 Gotama's, than what?

I'm a two ski quiver kinda guy. BD Havoc's for b/c and non pow inbounds days, and gotamas for inbounds pow, or bootpacking in the b/c.

I love my gotamas, but they're totally thrashed. Compressed edges, cracked sidewalls, delaming, core shots...the works.

I'd like another pair of gotamas, but I'm wondering what else is somewhat similar.

    I'm 6'1", 165lbs, tele.

I'd like something with a soft, round flex, over 100mm waist, and (relatively) light weight.

so, what is there? The Maiden AK's? Monster 105 (stiff??)

    anyone have any suggestions?

a 182 vct will for sure be too short for him and 190s probably stiffer than he wants.
also i think it flexes a TAD stiffer than a gotama he probably has

Id probably reccomend maybe a scott p4, mojo105, or maybe a fischer prophete 106? Madens are another option as you mentioned.
186 karhu pfd? drawing a blank on anymore.

oh yah, the prophete....that's an idea. I like the look of last years Fischers.

I know nothing about 4frnt skis.

    thanks

08' Scratch 110. They will have two graphics (the present preproduction is very much a love or hate graphic).

or just any scratch bc @ a 185. It's softer sure, but a bit longer/easier to ski than the got. That being said my ski next year is a 190 got.

The Nordica Blower is worth a look. Heavier than the gots, but similar in that it works as an everyday all around fatty.

    Thanks for all the responses...

I guess I should say that the 183 gotama could definately be longer, although the 190 seems like a gun...so if I went the bro-route it'd be the 188..

Not really leaning towards bros at all, but I definately want something wood...i don't really like the feel of the atomic/black diamond foamies.

Oh, and I can't imagine a ski easier than the gotama. It's feels super damp and forgiviing, which I like.
