Weather change:
(From Nwac)
"EXTENDED WEATHER SYNOPSIS FOR SUNDAY THROUGH TUESDAY
The almost stationary warm front draped across Washington
and northern Oregon early Sunday should lift slowly
northward mid-day and Sunday afternoon as the short wave to
the north continues to move eastward and the offshore ridge
slowly rebuilds behind it. This should allow decreasing
clouds and diminishing light rain or snow to slowly spread
northward mid-day and Sunday afternoon, with slowly clearing
skies and decreasing winds likely in the south and central
Cascades Sunday night and early Monday and light to moderate
rain or snow showers and moderate ridgetop winds more slowly
diminishing in the north later Monday morning and early
afternoon. As the upper ridge moves slowly over western
Washington late Monday through Tuesday morning, further
clearing skies are likely along with continued relatively
high freezing levels.
Behind the moderate ridge, a more chaotic pattern of split
troughs should affect the west coast late Tuesday and
Wednesday. Although the main thrust of these troughs appears
to be to our south across California and weakly into the
southwest US, the northern part of such disturbances should
bring increasing clouds and some intermittent light rain or
snow to the Northwest later Tuesday and Wednesday at
slightly lowering freezing levels.
EXTENDED FORECAST FOR SUNDAY THROUGH TUESDAY
Light to moderate rain or snow north and Olympics Sunday
morning with decreasing light rain or snow in the south.
Light to moderate rain or snow north with decreasing clouds
and showers south and central Sunday afternoon. Further slow
clearing spreading northward Sunday night and early Monday
with light rain or snow in the north slowly decreasing early
Monday. Light rain or snow showers mostly ending in the
north Monday morning with further slow clearing trend.
Mostly fair late Monday through Tuesday morning. Increasing
clouds mid-late Tuesday with chance light rain or snow
developing in the Olympics late Tuesday spreading to the
Cascades on Wednesday."
