Patrolled on the BRO's the last two days, recent wax and size. Though I wish I had the spats today. I pulled ice rink duty for tomorrow, which I thought was a death sentence, but I don't work until 11:30. So the spats will definitely come out tomorrow morning.
Go Sharks.
A HEAVY BAND OF PRECIPITATION WILL MOVE ACROSS THE TAHOE BASIN THIS EVENING. SNOW LEVELS WILL DROP AS LOW AS LAKE LEVEL AT TIMES IN THE HEAVIER BURSTS OF PRECIPITATION.
HOWEVER...ACCUMULATION WILL BE CONFINED MAINLY TO AREAS ABOVE 7000 FEET. ACCUMULATIONS OF 6 TO 12 INCHES OF SNOW ARE EXPECTED ABOVE 7000 FEET WITH 2 TO 4 INCHES OF WET SNOW BETWEEN 6500 AND 7000 FEET.
Squaw's Granite Chief hasn't turned in two days so when it does open, whomever is there is going to have good times

This wet snow pineapple excess is like deja fuckin vu from last season.
Catchin the blue bird pow is either by accident or persistence. Please God let the temperture drop.
It's fun being a maggot, eh? A new mag at that.![]()
Dumping super hard right now at 7500' on rose!
totally dumpering at 6245.9887 in KB!!!
Besides the comet that killed the dinosaurs nothing has destroyed a species faster than entitled white people.-ajp
i'm pretty easy to please but the top 1,000' of p-house was mighty fun today. worth doing 3 laps from 8,300' to 9,300' and tracks were filling in fast each lap. the bottom 500' was knee wrenching glue and skins were glopping bigtime but still a much needed day. tomorrow and monday in the high country will be even better though tomorrow it'll be hard to make turns unless you're on a steep slope. monday, after some settling and colder temps at the end of the storm, will be worth a hooky day for sure. bout time
What gimpy said ^^:
Snow Line at exactly 8,000':
14 pages, and hardly any photos......huh?
i was at kirkwood today and nary a maggot sighting. i think i may have seen skier666's teal jacket today, and i definatly saw a moment ski sticker on a sign on the bottom of chair 10. Ill be up there tomorrow, when is dependant on what goes on tonight.
It poured rain all night in Reno, hard. NOAA reports 3-5" of water having falled in some places around Tahoe last night.
Rose is reporting 12-16" fresh since yesterday, as of 3:30 AM. I'll be there for sure today; I think GapersGoHome will as well. I'm bringing Spatulas... for the first time this season, I'll get to actually use them.
OK, now its time for some fucking snow in Colorado. THis is getting ridiculous.

It's on today, waiting in line for first chair!
holeeee deepness this am. as predicted some serious pitch is required to turn today and trailbreaking is a bitch. 1' of fresh at the bottom and close to 3' above 8,500' at p-house this am. major tailgunning required to plane on top of the snow and unless you're riding at least 95mm at the waist don't even bother as you won't be able to move. storm is letting up and the sun is poking through in spots so today is gonna be a great day to get out. folks that like to jump off shit will be lovin it today and the top 1/3 of kwood should be all-time. so for the resorts, today is the day and for the bc, tomorrow is looking like the shit. lots of energy in the new snow w/ some cracking and slabbage but after 24 hrs or so of settling it should be game on manana. looks like my next project isn't gonna start till tuesday
git sum all you powder starved jonesers.
can any of you kwood folks that had any visibility over carson pass tell me if you noticed any natural slide activity up there??? (elephants back east bowl, roundtop or red lake peak) thanx
Can anyone verify that Kirkwood got 65 inches? That sounds nutz. The day before the storm I bought a ticket to CO for this week. Now I'm thinking I maybe an idiot if I don't cancel my flight.
