    Wow... that's the best collection of sports actions shots I've seen. The points of view the photographers use are some of the more creative anywhere, IMO.

    I feel the same way. I actually voted for the mountain bike shot with the beach in the background. I loved the backdrop and the angle and thought the sequence was pretty sweet.

    That ice climbing shot got a big "oh shit" from me, so got my vote. Can't say I was impressed with a few of the shots in the final round, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that.

    One more vote for you Grant!

    It is a beautiful photo and even after seeing it so many times now, I am still impressed by the wonderful interplay of dark and light, foreground and background, the juxtaposition of geometrical forms (round cornice, pointed tree) and the mesmerizing optical illusion all of these create and reinforce. In some way it even reminds of the compositional perfection of a Renaissance painting.

    Needless to say it provides such great inspiration for amateur photographers.

    I just wish one could look at them in higher resolution. They should release a photography book with these shots.
